"It is narrated from Abu Huraira that the Prophet [SAWS] said, "A man follows the religion/lifestyle of his close friend, so let each of you be very careful about whom he befriends." [Narrated by Imam Ahmad]
- Our friends influence our lifestyle. Bad company takes a person away from the Allah, and in the worst case, to the fire of hell.
In the Qur'an, Allah mentions:
"The Day that the wrong-doer will bite at his hands, he will say, "Oh! would that I had taken a (straight) path with the Messenger! Ah! woe is me! Would that I had never taken such a one for a friend! He did lead me astray from the Message (of Allah) after it had come to me! Ah! the Satan is but a traitor to man!" [25:27-29]
- On the other hand, good company takes a person closer to Allah and keeps him/her steadfast in the face of difficulties."

Chooese your friends wisely. They can either help pave the way to Jannah for you or drag you into Jahanam (Hellfire) with them...
