Moderation in Islam

Allah SWT enjoins in the Holy Qur'ân:

"Thus have We made of you an Ummah, just balanced, that you might be witnesses over the nations." (Quran 2:143)

Islam teaches up to be moderate in everything we do, as Islam is indeed the middle way in all matters. This means that we should not be extreme in any of our actions, whether that includes strictness and harshness or laziness and lack of effort in the things that we do; instead we should be moderate but diligent and try to achieve the most we can out of this Dunya and the Akhirah.
